Мне моя учительница не один раз надавала по рукам, когда я начинала писать предложения с "AND", поэтому я так это запомнила. Ты правильно исправила, можно начать с "Here is the result..." а если хочется чтобы там было это "and", тогда не ставить точку в предыдущем предложении и продолжать с маленькой буквы. Только писатели, чтобы сохранить какой-то стиль своей писанины начинают так предложения. Но для академического языка это неправильно и считается за ошибку.

No. Only a few books in pdf-format and dictionaries.

Not often. They are talking too fast as a rule. , but anyway it's interesting

You want speak fluently, don't you?
From my experience can say next:
- it's almost impossible to find a group of your level and better (there are a lot of beginners, but even advance level is rarity)
- lessons with personal teacher - rather boring and take too much energy (you have no moment relax )
So we have to find other ways
Audiobooks - one of them. Very useful! They are of different levels. There are books, where actor read very slowly; where he does it a little bit faster.. and so on to native talking. You always can stop the tape and replay. You should understand enough to be able retelling
It's difficult only in the begining. Than more you listen than better you get it.
-Keep your TV always take on. Let it be BBC or CNN - no matter. Just listen. First you get only foreigners (they usually speak English slowlier than native people), it's normal..
- driving a car listen to english songs. Not enjoy! Try to get every word ))
And step by step you'll speak easy, because your head will be full up with many frase stamps
And all this - without any help from others

I tried a few of them in the past. Each one had not very pleasant voice, it's like sounded not by actor but accidental person. I hope that was only unluck. I'll try to get a better one in the near future))

I'm too lazy to study myself
So, I attended defferent English courses. It was some kind of exercises for my brain, nothing more. Like morning exercises fof sportmen
I stay at home with a baby and need badly anything to make my wits working ))
First it was State English courses of 3 years duration, with deathless Bonk's book as a main one. )) But the teacher was good ( It was she who made us listen books She gave us only tapes, but without text, and we were had to retell her a couple of chapters every lesson. So, wanted we or not, we were forced to listen the cassete untill getting it properly
Thank to this I know exactly - it works!
Then there were some (just oral) courses for practice. It was a realy problem to find a morning group of my level, and every level cost more and more expensive.. So I let it all hang out
Now I've stoped even reading books. You are realy in time))

Stanley, I do understand that in some movies they do speak too fast so you need a movie with subtitles. Its really help.
If you want to can give you a link where you can download some. I did it before.
*I wont post it here because its a forum and I dont do any advertisements for them ))

Somehow I was advised rather insistently to watch cartoons ))
Because there are mostly short easy phrases, adressed to kids.
I think it's just our level
